Collection: Tangs

These fish could be compared to the terrestrial grazing mammals, i.e., they graze algae all day long like sheeps. Some amount of algae growth in the aquarium could be beneficial for tangs as it can supplement the hobbyist's feeding.  In general, most of the Tangs are easy to keep as long as the tank doesn't have Marine Ich, and the tank is large enough with good water quality. Hobbyist can find it very difficult to keep tangs such as Powder Blue Tang in a tank infested with Marine Ich.
