Known for its vivid pattern of orange markings across a pale body, the Diamond Watchman Goby brings both color and activity to a marine aquarium. This approximately 3-inch specimen is a sand-sifting goby, using its mouth to move sand while searching for tiny food organisms. Its natural foraging behavior can help turn over the substrate and makes it especially engaging to watch.

Provide a mature aquarium with a generous area of fine sand and suitable rockwork for shelter. The goby may excavate beneath rocks, so ensure the rock structure is stable and resting securely on the tank bottom. Offer a varied diet of suitable meaty marine foods, and monitor feeding to ensure it receives enough nutrition. A secure lid is recommended, as gobies may jump when startled.
