The Harlequin Tuskfish is a striking, colorful wrasse native to Indo-Pacific reef environments. This specimen displays the characteristic bold patterning of the species, with vibrant bands of blue, orange, and white. At approximately 4 inches, this juvenile will grow to a mature size of around 12 inches.

Known for their intelligence and active behavior, Harlequin Tuskfish are engaging to observe but require careful tank mates due to their semi-aggressive nature. They may nip at smaller fish and invertebrates, making them best suited for established reef systems with appropriate companions. A minimum 75-gallon aquarium is recommended to provide adequate swimming space and territorial range.

Care requirements are intermediate—they need stable water parameters, quality nutrition including meaty foods, and hiding places among rockwork. Not reef-safe with small crustaceans and mollusks, as they will hunt and consume them. This WYSIWYG specimen is what you see, making it an excellent choice for aquarists seeking a specific individual.
