The Lime Wrasse, scientifically known as Thalassoma lutescens, is a vibrant and active addition to established reef aquariums. Males display stunning yellow-green coloration, earning them the common name Banana Wrasse. These fish are generally peaceful but may chase smaller fish or invertebrates, making them best suited for tanks with larger companions.

This intermediate-level fish thrives in a minimum 50-gallon tank with plenty of open swimming space and hiding spots among rockwork. They're reef-compatible with caution—they may nip at corals and crustaceans. Wrasses are hardy and adaptable, feeding readily on a varied diet of small meaty foods, frozen preparations, and quality flaked foods.

The Lime Wrasse reaches approximately 5 inches at maturity and is known for its curious, engaging personality. Ensure strong water quality, stable parameters, and adequate space to accommodate their active swimming behavior.
