The Orbic Batfish is a striking, disc-shaped fish with a silver body and distinctive dark vertical bands that fade with age. This peaceful species displays graceful, almost wing-like pectoral fin movements that give it an elegant presence in any aquarium. Known for their curious and somewhat shy temperament, Orbic Batfish do best in established tanks with plenty of open swimming space and hiding spots among rocks or vegetation. They are omnivorous and will accept a varied diet of quality flake foods, frozen preparations, and occasional vegetable matter. While moderately hardy, they require stable water conditions and gentle tank mates, as they can be sensitive to sudden changes and aggressive fish. Their size and activity level demand adequate tank volume to thrive long-term.
